A journey through the veil
About The Retreat
a journey through the veil
As the veil between worlds thins during the sacred season of Samhain and All Souls’ Day, we invite you on a profound 6-day immersion into the unseen—an exploration of ancestral wisdom, inner transformation, and the deep cycles of death and rebirth.
Rooted in the ancient traditions of Himalayan Kriya Yoga and nature-based wisdom and rituals, this retreat offers a sacred container to:
- Attune to liminal spaces and honor those who came before us
- Loosen the grip of conditioned identities and break through karmic patterns
- Journey through deep forgiveness, ancestral healing, and release
- Embrace impermanence and the liberation found in surrender
- Reawaken your intuition and align with the rhythms of the dark half of the year
- Celebrate renewal through movement, ceremony, and ecstatic dance
October 28 – November 2, 2025

ACTIVITIES

Kriya yoga
The multilayered techniques of Himalayan Kriya Yoga – involving movement, focused breathwork, mantras, and mudras (sound and gestures) – go beyond physical movement to awaken higher consciousness, elevate energy, and inspire profound personal transformation. Our promise is to present them in a contemporary and approachable manner.

Guided Meditation
Meditation is an integral part of yoga. It supports and enhances all other yogic practices. Without it, other yogic practices cannot reach their optimal desired effects. Regardless of whether you are new to meditation or you are a seasoned practitioner, the technique shared as taught in the Himalayan tradition is comprehensive and effective.

Rituals & Ceremonies
Sacred rituals will be woven throughout the retreat to honour the ancestors, attune to liminal spaces, and mark the cycles of death and rebirth. From Vedic fire ceremonies and mantra offerings to guided ancestral healing rites, each practice is designed to deepen your connection to the unseen and support profound inner transformation.

Wisdom Talks
Engage in a profound Satsang where ancient yogic wisdom meets modern life. These sessions are not just about learning but about awakening. Through inquiry and reflection, we dissolve existential restlessness, awakening to a clarity that is not learned but lived. This is not just knowledge—it is a shift in perception, an inner transformation that feeds the longing to truly know.

Delicious Soul Nourishing Meals
In this Retreat you'll receive the most bountiful expression of ChoZen's culinary offers. With fresh Juices and Smoothies every morning, a minimum of 4 Dishes per Meal, Health Elixirs and delicious healthy desserts. And on our last evening together a very special dining experience awaits!
